Reisebrev fra Mike i Marbella
KBK er på treningsleir i Marbella i Spania. I dette reisebrevet skriver Michael Lansing om opplevelsene den første uka.
Hello KBK fans!
This is Mike Lansing reporting from Marbella. We are six days into our training camp and are thoroughly enjoying it.
Our trip started with a long travel day on the 27th. We got right into action once we landed and had ourselves a tough session that day. No rest for these boys. We have had double sessions most days. Whether it be football trainings or gym sessions, we have been putting in the ground work for the season ahead.
In the down time, some of the guys take some much needed rest in the hotel, some venture into the city in hopes of finding a decent coffee, and others decide it’s a good time to have their heads shaved.
The weather has been delightful thus far and we’re all greatly appreciating it. Rumour has it that Kristiansund is experiencing a bit of sun this week as well.
We had our first test match for the trip yesterday against Tromsø. We had big expectations for the game and knew they would give us a tough fight. We knew the game would give us a good feeling of how we stack up against a quality Eliteserien team.
It was unfortunate that Tromsø received a red card in the first half and had to play a man down for the rest of the game. Not unfortunate in the fact that it gave us a leg up on them, but in the fact that we wanted this match to be a point of reference for us. Playing a man up doesn’t give us a clear view at where we stand, but the fact is that we were able focus on things we’ve been training on and take care of the job in front of us.
Everyone was in good spirits after the game. We had some things we were happy with and some things that we can reflect on and work on.
Just finished a session today and now have the rest of today free, so will be on the hunt for a quality coffee spot and some sun.
That’s it for now. Will report back in towards the end of the trip to wrap things up. Wish you all a good weekend and look forward to seeing you all on game days or in the streets of Kristiansund.
Ha det bra!!
